MIXED MEDIA

Alexandre Cruz Sesper's work involves the fusion of various techniques, including collage, painting, drawing, and assembly. Through these techniques, he creates textured and intricate forms and compositions.

Sesper artistically executes the concept of montage by overlapping layers of materials, reinterpreting references, and appropriating content from mass media and personal archives. His work operates at the intersection of the social and the private.

These artworks, which fluctuate between two- and three-dimensionality, sometimes resemble showcases. They serve as display boxes for images and objects that interact with each other symbiotically.

His (semi) human figures, constructed through the accumulation of repurposed debris, expose the excesses of a hyper-industrial society that has homogenized everything and reduced simulacra and products to disposable commodities.
